Pilkington Activ
Following intensive research and development by Pilkington, the dream of self-cleaning glass has now become a reality. Pilkington Activ does just that: it's unique dual action uses the forces of nature to help keep the glass free from dirt, giving you not only the practical benefit of less cleaning, but also clearer, better-looking windows.
Planique Evolution
Planique Evolution unites coloured laquer with the brilliance of glass. It brings colour and ambiance to interiors and is particularly suitable for more demanding locations, such as bathrooms and kitchens. The Planilaque range comprises ten references: five light shades, contrasting with four bold colours and one intense black.

Conservatories

Sealed Units
West End Glass are manufacturers of sealed units, and we can offer a same day service for units required in an emergency or we can take orders for larger quantities with a 3-4 day delivery.
Sealed units can be made using all types of glass; including clear, patterned, laminated and toughened, as well as leaded and georgian effects.
If your existing units have condensation, West End Glass can offer a supply and install service - contact us for more information on our services in your area.
Glass cut to size
We offer a superb range of types of glass, and most can be cut to size while you wait. This includes glass for table tops, cabinets, and splash-backs; for which we now stock over 12 different colours. Also available is the new self-cleaning glass from Pilkington 'Activ'.
Mirrors
Create an illusion of spaciousness, as well as maximising available light. With so many options available to you; including tints, shapes and finished edges; you'll be spoilt for choice! West End Glass offers a professional measuring and fitting service on all orders - domestic or commercial.
Window Film
This simple but effective option provides both safety and privacy on any type of fitting. The subtle addition of film to your windows and doors prevents the glass from shattering when broken, providing protection from projectiles and even explosions!
Available in various shades and tints, filmed glazing can also cut excess heat and glare by up to 80%, saving you money on energy bills. Window film is also available in opaque or partially opaque styles, preserving your pricavy but still allowing natural light to penetrate.
In conservatories, window film is a more cost effective and generally better solution than blinds - eliminating problems of dust, insects and colour fading. It also provides better protection from the sun.
Stained Glass
Our leaded lights and stained glass can be in either contempory or traditional style. We produce traditional panels to match existing designs and our contempory panels are suitable for double-glazing. Available as standard with any installation are etched patterns, coloured glass and coloured film.
